The Use Balloon Notification feature will work when the Hide Tray Icon settings would have otherwise disabled it.

Unchecked

When the Hide Tray Icon is true, balloon notification as not shown, even when Use Balloon Notification is true.

Registry Information

HKLM\Software\EduVNC contains ServiceName\ForceBalloons which is the check box state. Valid values are:

• True: The box is checked. Hide Tray Icon is ignored and balloon are still displayed
• False: The box is unchecked. Hide Tray Icon prevents balloons from being displayed
• If value is undefined or other: The box defaults to False.
