Hide Tray Icon
From EduVNC
Contents |
Checked
EduVNC will not display a tray icon. Because EduVNC does not generate a task bar entry and starts minimized this effectively disables future access to the user interface. This also disabled EduVNC balloon notifications.
Unchecked
EduVNC will produce a tray icon. Balloon notifications will work normally.
Registry Information
HKLM\Software\EduVNC contains HideIcon which is the check box state. Valid values are:
- True: The box is checked. The tray icon is hidden. The user interface become inaccessible when EduVNC is minimized or restarted
- False: The box is unchecked. EduVNC displays a tray icon
- If value is undefined or other: The box defaults to False.
Additional Notes
An effect of this setting is to disable balloon notifications, including that of any services. When the tray icon is disabled it, by default, does not produce balloon notifications. A service may override this setting with the Force Balloons While Hidden feature.
