Authenticated clients will see the remote desktop, but the server will ignore any keystrokes or mouse movements sent by the client.
Unchecked
Authenticated clients can both see and manipulat the desktop remotely.
Registry Information
HKLM\Software\EduVNC contains ServiceName\ViewOnly which is the check box state. Valid values are:
- True: The box is checked. Users can only see the desktop
- False: The box is unchecked. Users can both see and control the desktop
- If value is undefined or other: The box defaults to False.
Additional Notes
On some older browsers there were reports clients had to click or type to refresh the displayed desktop. That problem should be corrected, but if you encounter this case please let us know what browser and version and we;ll get it fixed.
